What are Public – Private Keys?

Public-Private Key – Your public key is also known as your “address”. This is the set of numbers or QR code that you show to people in order for them to send you bitcoin. The private key is what shows the network that you own the bitcoin in your wallet. The private key needs to be kept safe. If you lose it or someone gets it your coins are gone.
You could think of your public key as your bank account number and your private key as your bank account password. The main diference is that you can create an unlimited ammount of bitcoin public and private addresses.
